The Band

Marc's Americana/Bluegrass band, The Stonethrowers, began their musical journey in January 2007 with the release of his first CD, "Stonethrowers." Since then, the band has been a constant companion on numerous recordings, including "Kissed By The Blue" (2018), "A Miners' Town" (2013), "California Avenue" (2011), "Naïve Lovers" (2010), and "Past Is Prelude" (2008).

The Stonethrowers blend a passion for original and traditional songs with a unique mix of country, Jazz, old-time, Balkan, and occasionally popular music. A Stonethrowers performance feels like kicking back in a good friend’s living room, with the smoky sweetness of Marc’s, Mike’s, Bobby’s, Willy’s, and Matt’s voices akin to a good bourbon rounding out the evening. Their stage banter and Isaac’s witticisms invite the audience into an intimate conversation, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere as they navigate their nightly set lists.

Their energetic delivery, seamlessly blended three-part vocal harmonies, and dynamic stage presence, make each performance a memorable experience.

The Stonethrowers have shared the stage with renowned artists such as Béla Fleck, Jerry Douglas, The Seldom Scene, Sierra Hull, The Mavericks, LeAnn Rimes, Shawn Mullins, Chuck Prophet, Vienna Teng, Moe, and others.

Their past performances include notable appearances at the 2010 and 2013 Philadelphia Folk Festival, The Keswick Theater, The Kimmel Center, The Sellersville Theater, The World Café (Philadelphia & Wilmington), Musikfest, and many other exceptional venues and festivals.
